Fishing in Uganda: Fish as a meal might soon be a luxury for an ordinary Ugandan if the fish stocks on most water bodies across the country continue to dwindle.

And it’s not just the populace; over 50% of fish processing factories along the shores of Lake Victoria have already been closed to protect the scattered remaining fish on the lake. Those in operation are operating below capacity.

“Fishing has always been on the increase leading to the disappearance of some fish species, which has been worsened by the Nile perch feeding on many of these species. As a result, fish processing factories are operating below installed capacity,” Said Dr John S. Balirwa, Director of Research, National Fisheries Resources Research Institute (NaFIRRI). Jesus called it the secret place (Matthew 6:6) for a reason.

Just a simple suggestion from a brother in Christ that neither your followers on Instagram nor Jesus himself benefit from a photo of your marked-up Bible and black coffee on any social media platform.

Your quiet time with Jesus should be just what He said it should be. In solitude, behind closed doors; the secret place with Him.

He even said that as He sees in secret, He shall reward openly.

Just a thought!

I love your blog. I think it's awesome to see young people like yourself pursuing and obeying God. I feel strongly that I am called into missions, but I have never been on a missions trip or traveled very much in my life. How did you know where to begin with your calling?

Oh wow! You’re so encouraging! First off, I think it’s super awesome you know that God is calling you into missions!! It really doesn’t matter that you haven’t been on a missions trip, or traveled much. In almost every situation I’ve seen, including myself God calls the unequipped so that he can equip us with exactly what we need for that certain season of life.

There are thousands of mission organizations out there… But the one I’ve worked through the most is Youth With A Mission. It’s truly awesome, filled with crazy opportunities all over the world(literally)!!! Personally I only knew where to start because I didn’t stop praying until I heard an answer from God on what/where He wanted me to go. So girl, prayyyy. Ask, Be Still, listen, and then Go when He says it’s time. God bless you!!!
